Annie - Its Hard Knock Life

If you can't get your children to scrub the floor, maybe they need some inspiration?!
This is Kyrie's...she scrubs the bathtub too!!!

Kids these days....

Have you ever stood on your head to make a kid happy?
I don't think I have, but I've done some pretty silly things to get a giggle!
I had Ryan watch the kids for a little while today while I ran some errands, and when I came home this is what I saw! Uncle Ryan and Kyrie barefoot on the kitchen floor, scrubbing to "it's the hard knock life" and Kyrie telling Uncle Ryan that it had to "shine like the top of the chrystler building"! (yes, she's obsessed with Annie!)
Amazing what a Kid can make you do!!! (and now I have a nice shiny clean kitchen floor!)

New Skirt!

Kyrie is so delighted to have a long "big girl" skirt! After getting a long skirt "hand me down" from Aunt Kaela, that is still too big, Kyrie kept asking me for a long skirt to wear. Finally I decided to take a pair of her jeans that she didn't like to wear and make a skirt for her. I made one for Relyssa severial years ago, and decided after that project I wouldn't be attempting any more, but I have to say, toddler size is MUCH easier than Adult size!

11 Months

"baby Trey" is 11 months now, I can't believe how fast time has gone! I decided I'd better get a few pictures of him, in my favorite sweater and hat, soon they won't fit just like all the other cute baby clothes!

Lookin' cool with Aunt Jana and House Fairy Magic

Aunt Jana came to stay with us the last week in December. Kyrie was quite delighted to have someone who would read her books non stop! Before Auntie left, Kyrie decided she needed to be matching with HER sunglasses too. As always, Kyrie was happy to pose for a picture!

After seeing the "magic" that the House Fairy (http://www.housefairy.org/) has done at Mom & Dad's house with Morgen, Kara & Kaela, I decided that she needed to come teach Kyrie a thing or two about keeping her bedroom clean! After Kyrie saw the neat things that the house fairy had brought Kara & Kaela (she didn't care about the "boy" stuff that Morgen had gotten!), she decided that it was time to clean her room to see what would happen!
After the bedroom was clean, Kyrie asked me to take pictures and email them to the house fairy so she would know that Kyrie's room was clean and she could visit!

Kyrie was quite delighted when she found fairy dust in her bedroom the next morning, with a little package of "ems-ms" (M&M's) and a new head band. She's kept her bedroom clean for a week now, all on her own!
