Thanks Lisa for convincing me to check out The Pioneer Woman's recipe selection... WOW!!!!
I saw the Penne a la Betsy and thought it looked good, so I decided to give it a try last night. WOW! It was SO good!!! From the mouth of Pioneer Woman,

Let me tell you! That was a fantastic meal. And fun to cook! So easy! The hardest part was chopping onions! (Yes, I helped Nish cook!) =)
This is one I haven't tried, but will have to now...it looks really good!
whine whine....isn't there something I could sub for the shrimp??? The rest of it sounds divine! (Chicken maybe???)
BUCK BUCK BUCKAAWWWK!! Man, yard buzzard is a horrible substitute for anything. Its like artificial sweetener. Artificial meat! SAY NO TO FOWL STUFF!!
;) hehe
I don't think it would be that great with chicken... You might be able to get away with Tuna, but you REALLY should try the shrimp! I just used the small shrimp that was already cooked and tails off so all I had to do was heat it in the butter/olive oil. It's even big enough that you could pick it out!
I know you have a thing with trying new things!
I have tried shrimp. YUCK. I can't even stand the sight of it, let alone the yucky feel of it, reminds me of the idea of eating a worm....shudder! And why would I want to put it in if I was going to pick it out! Are you saying I could cook something that everyone else might eat EXCEPT me??!! LOL!
that's the idea - maybe your kids would discover they actually liked it!
I'm with "Mom J" - YUCK to shrimp, but the chicken idea sounds good to me. ;) Everything I've tried from Pioneer Woman has been wonderful.
